In a bizarre partnership that breaks usual expectations, the game developer has revealed an digital crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, providing free additional story content for Shadows players.

Peculiar Adventure Revealed

According to the official release, "A strange meeting pulls heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a original quest, where hints of forbidden practices and terrifying transformations echo through the shadows." The plot features a "oddly garbed woman named Ada" who charges the pair with traveling into the Gemstone Grotto—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her companion from a hidden sect.

The questline focuses on "bizarre tests and a monstrous enemy" and is available to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Recognizable Settings and Metamorphoses

The trailer highlights the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was earlier where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The preview concludes with a powerful scene showing a character, probably the prisoner, morphing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Exclusive Rewards and Extra Content

Players who finish the quest will receive an unique katana in addition to numerous objects hidden throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also includes purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
