Man Utd head coach Ruben Amorim confesses he cannot conceal from his disappointing statistics and says it is normal that Old Trafford icons are commenting on him.
On Tuesday, United's all-time goalscorer Wayne Rooney stated on his program that "the spirit has disappeared" from his old club.
Amorim has managed just eighteen victories from his 49 matches in charge, including nine out of thirty-three in the English top flight, where he has yet to achieve two consecutive victories.
Despite the fact that senior club sources are insistent that the INEOS chief remains backing Amorim, failure to beat recently promoted Sunderland on Saturday will ignite fresh rumors about his role heading into the upcoming fortnight international break.
"This is normal," commented the Portugal-born coach, when asked about the former striker's remarks. "You can't escape from the outcomes."

Supporter Response and Current Situation
United's supporters stayed behind Amorim following the previous campaign's dismal fare, when they ended up 15th in the league - their poorest performance since the 1973-74 demotion campaign - and were defeated in the European final, in the expectation that the current campaign would be substantially improved.
The manager assured fans the position would change because he had more time to work with his team without the weekly commitment of continental football.
That is not been how the initial six matches have materialised as United have endured three losses already and are currently fourteenth in the league.

When questioned what promises he could offer supporters that the position will change, Amorim continued: "This is not moment to say, it is the time to prove."
