Real Madrid's winger Issues Apology to Real Madrid Devotees

Vinicius Jr in action

Vinicius Jr has registered 5 goals in ten Spanish league matches during the current campaign.

Los Merengues winger Vinicius Jr has apologised to supporters for his conduct when replaced in Sunday's fiery Clasico clash triumph.

He was replaced in the second half and showed his disappointment by walking immediately to the dressing room.

The Brazilian subsequently came back to the bench and, following his club's narrow triumph, tried to confront Barça's opposing player during unpleasant post-match exchanges.

"Now I want to apologise to all the supporters for my behavior when I was replaced in the big match," the player posted on his account.

"Just as I have already done during today's practice, I would like to express regret anew to my team-mates, the club, and the leadership.

"Sometimes emotion overcomes me because I continuously aim to win and support my team. My winning mentality comes from the affection I hold for this team and each thing it represents."

He joined Real from his former club in recent years for a significant fee and has accumulated over a century of strikes in numerous matches.

But his future in the La Liga is far from certain with speculation in recent months suggesting that Real would think about allowing the player move on if they got a appropriate bid.

When he was replaced on the match day, broadcast footage from network the service picked him up stating: "It's always me! I'm exiting the club! It's wiser if I leave, I'm moving on."

In his latest message on X, he commented: "I promise to keep battling constantly for the good of Los Blancos, as I have performed since the initial arrival."
