Tuchel States No Issue with Jude Bellingham, Foden, or Jack Grealish
Thomas Tuchel asserted that he holds "no conflict" with Jack Grealish following these players were omitted the Three Lions team for upcoming matches against Wales and Latvia.
Bellingham did not earn a recall despite recovering from a shoulder issue, whereas the Manchester City and Everton players also miss out although displaying improved form with their clubs.
The German manager revealed that Bellingham desired to be part of the selection, having spoken with him on the phone.
"He is a unique talent, and for special players there can always be special rules," Tuchel remarked about Bellingham, who's made just one start since coming back to full health.
"But we opted to maintain the simple decision of inviting the identical squad.
"Bellingham always deserves to be here. There is also the situation that he has not fully regained his full rhythm again at Real Madrid - he has not finished a full match.
"He wanted to be called up. We had a phone call."
Tuchel was keen to emphasize his positive relationship with Bellingham after he said sorry to him previously for describing his conduct during a match as "disgusting" in a live interview.
The German explained that he used the words "without meaning to" and promised to be more careful going forward.
When asked if he had a problem with Bellingham, Tuchel said: "No. There is also no problem with Foden or Grealish.
"Phil is returning to influencing and shaping games for Manchester City. Jack is almost to being back to the best version of himself.
"There exists no personal problem."
Saka replacing the hurt Madueke is the sole alteration to the previous team, with Loftus-Cheek and Jarell Quansah retaining their places after being late additions previously due to injury.
The Three Lions face the Welsh team in a non-competitive match at Wembley Stadium on Thursday before a World Cup qualifier in the Latvian capital on October 14.
Should England win in the away fixture, they will require a maximum of two points from their remaining two qualifiers - against Albania and Serbia in November - to earn a place in next summer's tournament in Canada, Mexico, and the United States.
Strong Performance By Tuchel
The Three Lions produced their finest performance by some distance under Tuchel's leadership when they beat Serbia five-nil away in the Serbian capital in their previous match.
Tuchel says that showing made it an easy decision to stick with mostly the same squad, though "there exist absolutely no guarantees" for every squad member regarding being picked.
"The last camp was only a few weeks ago and the teamwork and morale was at its peak. That is the reason we decided to call up the identical players to this session," he said.
"Phil is in a very good moment. Wharton merits to be with us. Jones and Trevoh Chalobah are getting playing time with their clubs.
"We have players who deserve to be here. Palmer is injured and is a special player. It will consistently remain the case.
"Are we a better team with Jude? Absolutely. But I told you before, what do we do if he is injured before the World Cup? Do we just cancel?"
The Manager's Media Briefing Draws Attention
The England manager once more gave a box office press briefing.
He, a master of managing his interactions with the press, started with an opening statement to set out his thinking for his decisions.
The midfielder is ready to play and expressed interest to come to the squad, but Tuchel explained he did not want to change the team too much after a statement 5-0 win over their opponents - where the boss noted team spirit was extremely strong.
However with him not including the star, and his repeated remarks about team spirit, it is difficult to avoid connect the two - although Tuchel insisted repeatedly how he is "exceptional" and that there is "no problem" between him and one of England's star players.
Tuchel has always made it evident that he wanted to make the national team seem like a club side and, by retaining the identical selection after a big victory, he has done that. But the questions will come again in the next camp if England win well in these next two matches.
